A.C.E.

A.C.E. is an after school program for John Stewart students that is FREE! It is open to all students Kindergarten to 5th grade (half day kinders are welcome to come back at the end of the school day). If the class is full it will show as sold out.

American Girl/Our Generation

Do you love to play with your American Girl Doll? Then you will love this class! We will do our doll’s hair, create crafts, have a tea party and so much more! Bring your American Girl Doll or any 18” doll. Taught by Katie S.

Animal Crafts 

Help us create toys and goodies for our furry friends at the animal shelter! Pick a photo of one of the animals and craft them something special! Taught by Joy Armstrong

Baking

Cookies, cupcakes frosting oh my! Our baking class will allow students to decorate some of their favorite treats! And yes, all creations get to be eaten or taken home! by Stefanie Horn

Cheerleading

V-I-C-T-O-R-Y! Come and learn basic cheerleading choreography, routines and techniques. The Kaneland Knight cheer team brings this class with real game cheers! Taught by Carly and Loni 

Clay Creations

In this class you'll be able to create anything your mind comes up with! We will have clay of all colors as well as jewelry pieces, magnets and other sculpting tools. We can't wait to see what you create! Taught by Kayla Moreno

Cooking

Calling all future chefs! Come begin learning kitchen safety and how to make yummy meals! (1st round is K-2nd, Second round is 3rd-5th) Taught by Brittany Groot

Fairy Garden

Create some magic by building a fairy garden! Follow it with plants, gems, stones complete with a little house to welcome magical friends! Taught by Stephanie Bagnasco 

Harry Potter Crafts

Be sorted in a house then make magical crafts including your very own wand! Taught by Lauren Biddle and Kamila Smith

Legos

Do you enjoy building and creating designs out of legos? Well this is the class for you! You will have the option to choose from different designs or create from your own imagination.

Martial Arts

The fundamentals of Martial Arts are explored through different kicks, blocks, self-defense, patterns, and terminology. Focus, balance, respect, and self-control will be introduced. Taught by Seve Moreno

Minecraft

Let’s build a whole new Minecraft world! Join other Minecraft friends to learn tips and tricks of the Minecraft world! (Open to 2nd-5th Grade)

Scavenger Hunt

Let’s put your sleuthing skills to the test! We will have a new and creative scavenger hunt each week that will bring out the best in you and your friends as you work together to search, collect and piece together clues to each hunt.

Science

Join us in the classroom for fun and easy experiments that will bring science concepts to life. We’ll learn the fundamentals of science in unique and engaging ways. Taught by Corey Laster

Short Sports

Come join the best of gym class! We will play games such as capture the flag, tag games This class will be separated into two groups k-2nd and 3rd-5th. Taught by Jenna & Jose Miranda 

Woodworking

Are you interested in using tools and building out of wood? Join this class to create a wood robot, book house and wood art! Taught by Niccole Dienst and Jessie Klotz
